  • Obstetrics and gynaecology

  • Dentistry
There are a few special rooms for cross subsidization of poor patients. The hospital is Janana Sankhya Yojana approved and is an RNTCP approved TB centre.

Bisu Khora, a 30 yr old man came to us with an acute abdomen, meaning he had a hole in his stomach leaking all the gastric juices into his abdomen for the last 5 days. He was really sick. He underwent a laparotomy and since his bowels were too stuck, he ended up with abdominal drains to at least remove the pus in his abdomen. His relatives were furious with us after the surgery as they saw his condition as worse than earlier with faeces coming out from the drains. We dressed him daily, finally getting his wife to learn how to do the dressings and sent him home after nearly 2 months and canceling most of his hospital bill. He went home and 3 months later, on visiting him at his village we found him walking around with his wound healed. In 6 months he was back to working in his fields.

There are many such Bisu Khoras walking around after being treated, sometimes getting cured completely (if they come in time) or going home and getting cured after God’s intervention in their lives through our hands.

Most of our patients come from the surrounding villages of Lamtaput block. Since we are the only reliable, cost effective hospital for nearly 200km we play a vital role in the health scenario of Koraput district, which is one of the western border districts of Orissa. This also happens to be one of the 3 most backward districts of Orissa.
